MEET THE BAND
CHRIS PALACE
Drums
After studying classical violin for several years, Chris picked up the drums to start reggae band The SEA ("The Silly Elephant Army") with his older brother. This creative outlet sparked his obsession for improvisation, groove, and percussion for Chris. Nowadays, Chris spends nearly all his time working on his craft, while studying audio engineering on the side. He currently plays with the Funklopian Tubes when not performing with Juicy.
JORDAN RABINOWITZ
Bass
After hearing Stuart Zender of Jamiroquai play bass on Traveling Without Moving, Jordan bought an electric bass. Since then, he has been inspired by the master, Jaco Pastorius. He studies both classical and jazz on the upright bass and plays with his brother on the Oren Rabinowitz Trio. If you are dancing, Jordan is doing his job.
THOMAS ANDOLSEK
Tenor Sax
Major Tom... what more can be said. This astronaut spends his free time dreaming up juicy licks to materialize through his blow horn for your ear drums' listening pleasure. Hooked on Coltrane from the first dose, he strives to bring an authenticity to the air waves that hasn't been heard for years.
RYAN HECHT
Guitar
Ryan began playing classical guitar at age 13 before switching to electric to pursue his interests in rock, jazz, funk, and blues. He looks to greats like John Mayer, Warren Haynes, Derek Trucks, and Trey Anastasio for tonal inspiration. Ryan's style is heavily reliant on improvisation, and he's always up for a good jam.
ALEX FORTIER
Keys
Alex began playing classical piano at age 6 before branching out to the worlds of progressive rock, fusion, blues, folk, jazz, and funk, adding their respective influences to his style. His eclectic background has ranged from performing folk numbers for contra dances in rural New England to accompanying acts like the soul-hop artist I.Am.Tru.Starr. in cities like Rochester, Syracuse, and Brooklyn.
